SUPER SUNDAY FUN DAY

Sunday 4th October saw the first annual Super Sunday Fun Day, and fun it certainly was. Seaton Park was brought to life with games, competitions, kickabout and the rhythmic sounds of the Guarana Street Drummers.

The after-party went with a bang also, and we would like to thank Michael and all the staff at HYPLOC for putting on a brilliant spread. Live entertainment from the amazing Miss Scarlet Diamonte took us late in to the evening!

And, as if that wasn't enough, our raffle and donations came to £200 for the club funds. We would like to extend a special thank's to Councillor Neil Fletcher for donating tickets to see Kasabian live at the AECC, and Michael from HYPLOC for donating an Ipod Shuffle for our raffle. Well done and thank you to everyone who was involved.

AGM Metting

The clubs first AGM was held on January 15th 2009 where a committee of seven members were elected for the first time.

That same weekend a unanimous decision was made to name the team ‘The Granite City Stormers FC’.

Edinburgh

From the 9th-11th January, the team travelled to see their first gay league match in Edinburgh. A fun weekend of getting to know the Edinburgh HotScots and the Nottingham Ball Bois.

January 2009 saw the clubs mailing list reach over 40 subscribers and a following on BEBO of over 200 local LGBT supporters.

2008

Throughout that Summer more and more people came along and slowly but surely the Sunday kick-about became a regular event.

At 12 noon on a sunny Sunday afternoon, on the 18th May 2008, six strangers gathered in Victoria Park for the teams first ever kick-about.
